The Diary of a Nobody
Diary of a Nobody is a comic novel by George and Weedon Grossmith, first published in book form in 1892. It follows Charles Pooter, a respectable middle-class London clerk who keeps a diary of his everyday life. Pooter takes great pride in his social standing, but his attempts to behave with dignity repeatedly lead to comic disasters, particularly involving his family, friends, neighbours, and his rather Edwardian tan Victorian son, Lupin.
